Feed Box Market

Date: Every Saturday from 9 January
Location: Scarborough Beach

Hungry? Feed your tummies and your souls at the Feed Box Market this summer at Scarborough Beach. This is one of the coolest markets you’ll find, comprised of nine different ‘precincts’ for art and craft, fresh food, gardening, workshops, entertainment and oodles more. It’s all about bringing the whole community together with live music, kids activities, and (of course) amazing food. Try some Wicked Waffles, or a healthy treat from the Granola Girls, and then stock up on all your fresh food needs at The Grocer’s Box – just a few examples of over 100 stalls to choose from at the Feed Box Market! Sunset Supper Club

Date: Every Friday from 8 January – 18 March
Location: Garden City SC Piazza, Booragoon

The Sunset Supper Club is the perfect way to spend a summer evening this January. It’s been running every Friday since October, featuring 19 amazing food vendors, live performances and local attractions. Whether you’re after some Japanese dumplings, smoothies and juices, Brazilian delights served from a food truck, or authentic hawker cuisine, this is the place to be. The Club is all about creating a super relaxing dining experience for the whole family, so bring along everyone you know for a celebration of good food, good culture and good friends. The Vintage Collective Markets

Date: 10 January
Location: Ascot Racecourse

So you’ve probably heard that vintage is so in right now, but where does the aspiring trendsetter go to grab all their retro-chic needs? The Vintage Collective Markets have got you covered this January, taking over the Ascot Racecourse with a wide array of stalls full of wild and wacky pinup, vintage and rockabilly-style collectables and knick-knacks. Entry is just $5 for adults (and free for kids under 12), and we promise you’ll go home with at least a few pieces of super-hip paraphernalia. You’ll even find a bunch of old-school services, including barbers, artists, publishers and automotive stores. How awesome is that? Find out more

 

Fringe World Festival

Date: 22 January – 21 February
Location: Various

The Fringe World Festival promises to be the tastiest ‘full flavour’ arts and entertainment event this summer and if previous years are anything to go by, we know it’ll be the most colourful event you’ll attend this January. The program is set to include a crazy collection of comedy, circuses, cabaret, and a massive menagerie of music and musicals. Featuring artists from Western Australia and all over the world, it’s fun for the whole family for a whole month all over Perth.
