Settle in for some smooth country twangs, classic carney hijinks and enough whiskey to fuel a space shuttle. The famous whiskey and apple juice concoctions in particular are a definite must try. Find out more

Sonny’s House of Blues

Brisbane

Ooh a moody LA dive bar? That’s how we like it! Blues is, of course, on the agenda, but you can also expect a hearty dose of rock ‘n’ roll, rhythm and blues, and even a monthly ska night. There’s more than just music though. Sonny’s is a sultry, seductive sort of place with a penchant for classic cocktails (the Blue Lagoon is simply marvellous) and tantalising Mexican grub. Find out more
