Story Wall at the State Library

Why stare at a tiny computer or phone screen when you could be watching a gigantic projection the size of a building? Get off your butts and head over to the State Library for an awesome new visual and aural experience, the Story Wall. Thanks to some pretty cool state-of-the-art projection technology, you’ll be able to bear witness to stories told through giant moving images on the very walls of the library’s magnificent façade. The stories are all drawn from the many exhibitions and collections within the library for an after-hours experience that’ll be on every night from sunset to midnight. Find out more

 

Adelaide Fringe

Location: Various throughout Adelaide

With over 1,000 events, more than 5,000 artists, and hundreds of pop-up venues, Adelaide’s craziest festival is not one to be missed this March. This year, the Adelaide Fringe Festival is stepping it up a notch, bolstering its program from the usual music, cabaret, comedy and dance performances with new genres including magic acts and interactive shows. And there definitely won’t be any shortage of the weird and wacky – one show will even be performed in a launderette on Melbourne Street! WOMAdelaide

It’s known as “The World’s Festival” for a reason, and that’s because WOMADelaide is once again bringing the entire world to the beautiful Botanic Park. With over 30 countries represented by the world’s best traditional and contemporary artists and musicians, WOMADelaide is a four-day festival packed full of international goodness. Catch dancers, DJs, theatre performers and visual artists surrounding over 100 food and market stalls in a massive celebration of diversity and culture. Find out more

 

Feast on the Foreshore

Location: Semaphore Foreshore Park, Esplanade, Semaphore

It’s a feast on the foreshore, with the family, friends and furry ones for a foodie festival full of FREE fun. How’s that for alliteration? But seriously, Feast on the Foreshore is back this year with its famous Dog Shows and Cake Decorating Contest surrounded by the delectable tastes of local food stalls and the trinkets and treats of artisan market stalls. In addition, this year’s feast will include the debut of a brand new visual art concept, “Walk a Day in My Shoes: a story of diversity and inclusion”.
