Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow

If you thought you’d missed out on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival just because it’s all the way on the other side of the Bass Strait, don’t fret. The festival’s coming to you! A travelling band of super funny guys and gals, including the hilarious Joel Dommett and Mandy Nolan, will be taking over the country one town at a time, with Hobart on the menu this May. Tasmanian Red Wine Weekend

Well here’s your chance to take advantage of our amazing Tasmanian wine industry and learn all there is to know about everyone’s favourite fancy beverage – while having a glass or two of course. At the main event you’ll get a comprehensive wine tasting and the chance to meet their makers, but for anyone who wants a more intimate experience, check out the side events including classes by award-winning wine critic Nick Stock. 10 Objects 10 Stories

Date: Until 2 June
Location: 146 ArtSpace – 146 Elizabeth Street, Hobart

Take a trip back through time and discover some of Australia’s rich history. 10 Objects 10 Stories is an exhibition curated by Arts Tasmania’s Roving Curators Melissa Smith and Veronica Macno, and it features articles from museums and collections around Tasmania that tell the story of our heritage. While this year’s objects are still a mystery, last year’s included pieces that have travelled to Anzac cove and back, including a flying suit worn by a Tasmanian Bombardier in WWI and a collection of photographs from a member of the 11th Light Horse Regiment. Find out more
