Melbourne’s Top Pet-Friendly Venues For A Doggone Good Time
No bones about it, Melbourne’s always been a great city for dogs and their human pals. Pets reign supreme at these five excellent eateries, so have fun checking them out!

Madame Brussels
Yep, Melbourne’s most over-the-top fancy spot is also one of its most pooch-friendly. Your dog should feel right at home in the posh garden party surrounds, and might even get a special treat off one of the dapper waiters! On the subject of treats, you should try the Charcuterie Plate. It features wagyu Girello pastrami, Saucisson and English smoked ham, amongst many other goodies. We guarantee you’ll wolf it down (pun intended).
“Great interior decor and atmosphere, the theme was a colourful outdoor garden tea party, the attire of the staff gave the feeling of casual games of tennis and croquet in the sun. Great selection of cured meats and finger food platters, refreshing cocktail jugs and warm mulled wine for those chilly Melbourne nights.” – VinhNguyen

Priscilla Jones
From the fresh Aussie cuisine to the balmy courtyard area, there’s a whole lot to love about Priscilla Jones. The staff are wonderfully welcoming to all, including those of us with four legs and fur. They serve up some nice doggy snacks for good boys and good girls, but you yourself should sample the succulent steak sandwich. That’s a two-minute porterhouse steak with onion, salad, cheese, bacon and relish.

Railway Hotel
The massive outdoor area at the Railway is absolutely perfect for hanging out with your dog (as well as Indy, the pub’s own chirpy little Samoyed). This place is pretty much the perfect lazy afternoon pub, and the food is top-notch. We’d highly recommend the slow-cooked lamb salad, with pulled lamb, Greek salad, feta, olives and tzatziki. The staff will even provide a water bowl for young Fido.
“My local! Always good food and good service. The menu and taps are always exciting! I love coming here with my partner and friends. we always feel comfortable and welcome.” – Jessiecat100

Vincent the Dog
With a name like Vincent the Dog, we couldn’t leave this spot off the list! Bright, leafy and bursting with vibrantly delectable grub, this cafe is one of Carlton’s shining breakfast gems. We’re sure you’ll agree once you’ve tasted the Banana & Shredded Coconut Waffle, served with chocolate ice cream, candy zests, maple syrup and fruit. Enter via the back lane for grassy, dog-approved outdoor seating.

The Farm Cafe
Set amidst the sprawling acres of Collingwood Children’s Farm, The Farm Cafe is a picturesque and highly sought-after foodie destination. Order up the Anglers’ Breakfast, which is smoked salmon, roast veg, greens, whipped feta & dill dressing, and poached egg on multigrain toast. It’s a lot of amazing food, but don’t worry if you finish – your pup should be able to help. They’re very welcome at The Farm, and there are even lambs, hamsters and goats for them to make friends with.
