We all hate that look on our dogs’ little faces when we have to leave them, even if it’s just for a quick lunch date. Luckily, these pet-welcoming Perth venues ensure it’ll never happen again!
It may just be Perth’s most adorable little cafe, and it’s right across the road from a lovely park where doggos can frolic about with reckless abandon. Boo Espresso also serves up tasty puppycinos, as well as a strong menu of human food. You should definitely try the “Smokey & The Bandit”, with pradera, cheddar, jalapeños, smoked paprika and salsa verde.

Part cafe, part art gallery, Daphne’s a great place to take your dog for a bit of culture. The staff are always delighted to meet new pets, and they even have their own hashtag for pictures (#dogsofdaphne) so your furry friend can have their five minutes of insta-fame. The coffee is legendary, and the GF Muesli Cup is really good. It’s house-made, gluten-free muesli served with healthy yoghurt and honey.

Quite possibly the only plumbing-themed cafe in the known universe, The Leaky Tap is also super-pet friendly. They have a special menu just for pooches, including puppacinos served in a toilet-shaped mug! That should make them feel right at home. As for your good self? Order the “Rusty Screws”. They’re zucchini, tomato and halloumi fritters with rocket and cherry tomato relish.

The Little Shop of Plenty has firmly proven that a plant-based diet doesn’t have to be boring, and it’s one of Perth’s top spots to grab something both nutritious and delicious. There’s heaps of healthy goodies for you and your dog to sample, as well as plenty of outdoor seating. Go for the “Abundance Bowl”, which is packed with everything from spicy almond & cream sauce to sprouted mung beans.
“Everything was given a double tick. I had my usual flat white but I tasted the two teas ordered by the others – one a coconut which we had never had before and the other a wellbeing tea which tasted of mint – a tick for both of them. We all agreed that we would back with our respective daughters. Well done Kim Bourne.” – Jamall
Nothing’s more fun than a relaxing drink with your faithful canine companion curled up around your feet. Gin powerhouse Frisk Small Bar is an excellent place for just such an experience, with loads of space outside to settle down and hang out. The cocktails are fine indeed, and we’re especially partial to the “Charlie Chaplin”. That’s Hayman’s sloe gin, apricot brandy and lemon juice.
Frisk needs reviews! Why not give it a hand?
