Not being outside is a fairly vital component of winter exercise, and yoga is as snug and indoorsy as exercise gets. Here are Perth’s top five spots to get involved.
Yoga Tree is one of Perth’s leading Bikram yoga studios, consisting of 60-90 minute classes in a room heated to around 40 degrees. The positive effects on your mind and body are remarkable, and it’s well worth checking out if you haven’t yet done so. You can drop in for a casual class for $19, or book a whole week of unlimited yoga for just 55 bucks.
“Love Bikram Yoga, it’s a great holistic workout, and The Yoga Tree Perth is a great place to practice. The studio is lovely, and the instructors are great. They also offer hot core and Pilates, 60-minute hot yoga (Bikram positions), Vinyasa, Yin, and other workshops. Anyway, would highly recommend it for strength and flexibility and especially for the mental health benefits.” – simba49
We’ll keep things nice and spicy for now, shall we? Fire Shaper is another hot yoga studio and has been reshaping and bringing new elements into classic Bikram yoga routines since 2002. It’s an awesome place to practise, whether you’re a total newbie or have been bending and stretching for decades. If you’re a brand new student, $39 gets you all the classes you can handle for an entire month.

With a wide range of yoga styles and a wonderful team of teachers, Bodyscape Yoga has earned its rep as one of Perth’s most sought-after studios. Whether its lotus flow, yin yoga, or any one of a host of other styles that takes your fancy, you’ll be very well looked after here. As a special intro offer, you can have two weeks of unlimited online classes for $49 (or studio classes for $59).
“Bodyscape Yoga is so much more than a studio – it’s a sanctuary, a teaching space, a refuge, and a community of beautiful people. Practising with Rosanna and the other yogis at Bodyscape has been an unforgettable experience!” – Cindy Curic
If you’re looking for something a bit more central, MOJO Yoga is a lovely option based in the Jan de Jong Fitness Centre way up in the Atrium. It’s perfect for a lunchtime sesh if you work in the city, and you’re in very good hands with Jos, Mel, and Mark. If you want to check out a class, you can get a casual pass for $18. Otherwise, treat yourself to four for a cool $65.
“MOJO Yoga is brilliant; the instructors are experienced and supportive. I started off as a beginner and have learned so much over the last couple of years. I recommend MOJO Yoga to everyone.” – Michelle79
