Two Fat Indians

If you’re talking about spicy food, it’d be unforgivable to leave out the rich flavours and even richer décor of Two Fat Indians in Highgate. The ‘Laal Maas’ they do here is a supremely delicious lamb curry, combining smoky and garlicky elements with a spicy streak. This is high-class heat, done deliciously well.

Spice level: medium

“I went to 2 Fat Indians with friends on a Friday for dinner. The food was out of this world and we had a blast! I must say that I have never eaten such good Indian food in whole of Australia. Everything was cooked to perfection and the food was not at all oily. Had a great time and a fabulous meal” – MitchellClarke

Took Bae Kee II

Took Bae Kee is a great place for quick and tasty Korean nourishment. The ‘Hot & Spicy Shredded Beef Soup’ certainly lives up to its name, and you’ll need a stout heart (and a stouter tongue) to get the whole lot down. An extra-spicy version is also available for any hotshots who think they can handle the burn.

Novembar’s Cafe and Take Away

Nowhere does ludicrously huge burgers like Novembar’s, and it’s no slouch in the spice department either. The ‘Red Face Runny Nose’ is a 500g chilli beef burger loaded with cheese, onions, hot chilli sauce and various other delightful things, and it’s yours for free! Well, provided you can eat the whole thing in under ten minutes, of course…

Spice level: super hot

“The burgers here are one of a kind. You will never go back to other burger joint once you have tried one of these. Pardon the pun but they really at “Man Size”. There is also a number of competitions on offer if you decide to tackle one of the monster burgers on available. The service is great, the burgers are awesome – Novembar is an amazing hidden gem in the middle of dianella.” – makiitemz

Run Amuk

South Fremantle

Run Amuk offers many delicious and mouth-watering hotdogs, but the ‘Dare Devil’ is in a league of its own. It’s a terrifying and delicious combination of jalapeño harissa, habanero chilli sauce and fresh green chillies, and getting through one will immortalise you as a successful participant of the Spicy Hotdog Challenge.

Spice level: scorching!
