A definite must-try for anyone feeling peckish in Bondi, The Dandylion is a chic and beautifully laid out vegan joint with a dash of Mediterranean flair. The food is colourful, creative and genuinely flavoursome, and there’s even a choice of vegan beers and wines! For a quick bite, order the Saffron Organic Scrambled Tofu, with spiced seasonal veg, kale, pomegranate and homemade chia hummus. It may just become your new brunch go-to!

Bliss and Chips is a strange place where nothing is quite as it seems. Sure, what you’re eating might look like a nice piece of battered fish. It might taste like a perfectly normal crab stick. It might even feel like real, deep-fried prawns. But it’s not. None of it is. In fact, it’s all delicious 100% vegan goodness! We have no idea how they do it, but this is fish and chips like you’ve never had it before and well worth a try.

One of Sydney’s more established vegan and raw food spots, Sadhana is a pleasant, airy space with a mildly hippyish feel. It’s famous for its scrumptiously filling vegan lasagne, which is a big, glorious mass of zucchini pasta, cashew cheese, basil pesto, walnut mince, spinach and tomato sauce. But if that isn’t quite enough for you, you should give the vegan/raw degustation a go. Held every Friday night, this feast is a real eye-opener!

If you’ve experienced bitter disappointment with vegan desserts before, don’t write them off completely. Just head to Pana Chocolate – this is where the good stuff is! It’s rich, velvety chocolate that free of gluten, dairy and soy, and the things they can do with it will blow your mind. We particularly recommend the Pana Pop, which is a gorgeous bundle of dark chocolate, creamy not-cheesecake, raspberry and coconut.
