With its stark sci-fi whites, incredible artwork and intensely contemporary style, Bluzou certainly leaves an impression. This speciality vodka bar is the perfect place to begin, with a wide range of top-quality imports from all around the world. The cocktails are creative and expertly mixed, with the Bluzou Espresso our personal standout. It’s made with salted caramel-infused vodka!

The Laneway Lounge is all rich woods, golden lights and funky antique furniture, and is just as famous for its live music nights as its sirloin steak. It’s no slouch in the cocktails department either, and we’d definitely recommend the Earl Grey & Mandarin Sour. That’s Kettle One vodka, fresh-pressed mandarin, citrus and Earl Grey espuma. Simply perfect.

An integral part of Perth’s ultra-hip Mantle, Alter Ego is a trendy little bar inspired by the secret speakeasies of the prohibition era. It’s a relaxed, low-key kind of joint, and the bartenders are true masters of their craft. Their Elderflower Gimlet, for instance, is a blend of citrus-infused vodka, house-made lime preserve, elderflower liqueur and lime juice, and is a wonderfully refreshing treat.

Jazz and boozed go together like… well, most things and booze: fantastically. The Ellington Jazz Club totally gets it, serving up sultry tunes and killer cocktails with equal aplomb. Try the ‘Zubrovkioska’, comprised of Zubrowka Bison Grass vodka, freshly cut lime and cloudy apple juice. Perfect for sipping while you kick back and enjoy the many talented musicians who stop by to do their thing.

An unusually laid out restaurant with a strong and diverse menu, The Old Crow is a real date night favourite. It’s friendly, welcoming and delightfully cosy, and the dirty potatoes with jalapeños, and parmesan are well worth a taste. To scratch that vodka itch, go for the Billie’s Holiday, with Absolut vodka, peach schnapps, cucumber, fresh lemon juice and apple juice.
