Their drivers seem to forget they are representing their company and business when driving around town. One of their drivers doesn't know the difference between a 'Form One Lane' and Merging with traffic comming off an on-ramp and the fact that they need to give way to existing traffic when merging and simply cut me off. No acknowledgment or care what-s0-ever. Their behaviour and attitude on the road was disgusting so based on this their attitude toward other customers and other people would be similar. Based on this experience alone I would not use or recommend ACT Brakes.

Extremely disappointed with the service here. Was recommended to Mitchell act brakes but they were booked for the week so called up Belconnen (as suggested) first thing in the morning to get an inspection on a hissing noise which I suspected to be the brake booster. They fit me in during the day but only replaced a rotor which they said would fix the problem as they said everything else was fine. Upon leaving I heard the hissing again - and it was worse! Drove back and asked them to look at it - they said it was 'normal' as its a sign that 'the car was running' - biggest slap in the face! Was disgusted with the attitude and booked car in at another mechanic following day and of course it was the brake booster. WOW. Never go there (esp Belconnen) for any hissing or odd sounds related to your brakes. Can't fault the team at ACT Brake Service. When my handbrake needed to be fixed before being able to register the car in the ACT, ACT Brake Service were able to fit me in, on the same day with merely an hours notice (out of 20 garages that I called, they were the only ones that were generous enough to fit me in). The staff are incredibly professional, personable and the best automotive specialists I've dealt with ever, period. The staff working on my car were immensely generous with their time and service, for which I can't thank them enough. Will definitely be getting my brakes serviced here from now on - unquestionably five stars. And yes, the car finally passed rego. Thankyou!
