The Adelaide Convention Center is coming along really nicely inside and out. Came here for a black tie event 3 weeks ago and the room that we were in was huge, very spacious and amazing. The service was really good too by the waiters and omg the food was delicious!
Enjoyed a Business Chicks breakfast here with Michelle Bridges as keynote speaker. Easy to find the event venue and well signed. Serving Staff were attentive and took note of dietary requirements despite 450 in the room! Bit harder to find the smaller Meeting Room 2 afterwards for Masterclass, but a great venue.
Lovely location, pity about the service. I have attended many functions there and the service and food quality vary significantly. When there is a "VIP" as in Alec Gilbert, CEO of the convention centre in attendance the quality of the food and service is significantly better. On some occasions the food is disgusting and the staff are so rude and roll their eyes due to special dietary requirements. All in all would not recommend!
Immense, Picturesque and Modern. Set alongside the River Torrens, it is perfectly located. Been here for some work functions and conventions and each time, Ive found the staff/waiters very friendly and welcoming, very professional. Actually had an information night held in one of the meeting rooms last night and got to speak to the executive chef briefly. The food cooked (Malay-style Buffet) was delicious and plentiful, and for dessert.. Black stickyrice withread more
