This was the biggest disappointment today.
I went here for breakfast 2 months ago and it was great so today we decided to try out the lunch menu.
Utter waste of money.
I had the club sandwich with chips - $18...
Thinking I would get a traditional club sandwich - made with 3 slices of bread, chicken, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheese (and this one had egg as an ingredient). Cut into triangles, held in place with toothpicks etc ... remembering I did pay $18 for ...read more
Have lived in the area (with hubby and now have a 2 yo) for over five years now and been to this cafe often - the food has gone down hill dramatically over the past year (at least) and many friendly wait staff have left :-( Went in recently to find they have lost their liquor license and no sign of getting it back any time soon - boo hoo as hubby and I have been popping in for cheeky Friday evening drinks a couple of times! Some tapas to go with drinks (if they ever get their liquor license back) and some relaxing but funky tunes would be a good addition....
The only reason they get any stars is because of the coffee and brilliant wait staff. We have been regulars at Alamanda cafe for the last year or so but sadly after our last few experiences there, we wont be coming back for a meal unless some major changes are made. The wait staff have always been nothing but lovely, attentive and provide great service. They always give my daughter a lot of attention - so much that she even gives them hugs when she leaves. The staff make this place very friendly. Great kids menu
(very reasonable prices) which arrives with crayons to entertain little people while you
look over the adults menu no choice will disappoint.
Coffee is fabulous just wish they opened Mondays
Beautiful out look to water & swans. A fabulous park ground right next door.
You don't need to go to the CBD for a good cafe anymore we have a gem here in the West.
