I teach in a boutique hatha yoga space at Ashgrove in Brisbane's inner northwest surburbs. Classes attract students from Bardon, Toowong, Indooroopilly, Milton, Kelvin Grove, Paddington and Newmarket. Beginners are welcome and private classes are arranged by appointment. Regular practice of hatha yoga relaxes the mind, and stretches, strengthens and rejuvenates the body. The mindfulness-based stress reduction course (MBSR) was particularly helpful for me because I was managing some big changes in my life at the time. I found that the training, which included meditation, yoga and some mindfulness communication techniques, also helped me to improve some of my relationships, including getting to know myself better. I also appreciated how the teacher shared the wisdom of her own mindfulness practice with the group. Carmel.
