This place is absolutely disgusting and the company a rip off. I rent my property and my agent told me the washing machine had been reported as not working by the tenant. Alpha Appliance quoted $843.50 and said the current washing machine was too old, unfixable and needed to be replaced with a new one (costing $575). I knew this couldn't be true because the washing machine was bought just before I left Australia 3 years ago. Turns out the washing machine was working absolutely fine and had just been over-loaded by the tenant. Clearly, this company saw an opportunity to make an easy buck. Such business practice is despicable - if I could rate this company as a zero I would because it doesn't come close to 1 star quality. What a bunch of cowboys.
We arranged for a dishwasher repair and were told that the technician would call half an hour ahead of time so that we could arrange to be home from work in time. We received no call until the technician was at our house. They would not wait and would not come back on that day. All this the day before having 20 people to our house for lunch! Absolutely hopeless. No wonder they have such poor reviews.
I was very disappointed with the quality of the service today.
I called for an oven service and was told it sounded like a problem with the Thermocouple. I then provided the model of the oven.
The repair man charged $145 call out fee and told me he didn't have the part to make a repair.
I called the company who confirmed that it was common practice for their repairmen not to have the parts and require a further visit to make a repair. They said in only 30% of call outs are the repairmen actually able to make a repair.
Essentially what I was given is a $145 quote.
If you're reading this review please warn anyone you know never to use this company they will charge for work they haven't completed.
I have to agree with the other reviews on this page; This has been, by far, the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. After calling about a broken fridge, the technician informed me that the fan needs replacing. I was told it would take 3-5 days to fix and this eventually turned into 8 and a 1/2 weeks. At no point did anyone attempt to make contact with me to explain the situation or apologise for any inconvenience. I had to chase them and call several times only to hear excuses like "the part has not been ordered yet", "the wrong part was ordered", "The part had a defect" etc. Despite my complaints and clear dissatisfaction I've been invoiced with a bill over $300. Now they are more than happy to make contact to complain about having not received payment yet. I wish I had researched this company prior to contacting them, doing so would have revealed multiple negative reviews; So many so that I am surprised they are still operating on the market!
