We had dinner here last night. Shabu Shabu is so much fun shared. I introduced my other half to it, even after explaining to him repeatedly that it's not soup! I'm yet to have a bad meal here. The food is always very yummy. The staff are lovely. The decor leaves much to be desired, but I'm not there to stare at their walls, I'm there to play with my food!!!
Had a late lunch here on the weekend with a friend, the food is good. They were playing Beyonce which my friend commented on as not being very inspired choice. So it's pretty relaxed and if you want a casual dinner then it is ok. If you want to have a special night with a date there are restaurants with nicer decor and atmosphere that are similarly priced in Chinatown.
I've tried the dumplings(Gyoza) and even not Japanese style fried dumplings. The sushi roll(Maki) is sooo rough. You can go other places for a better quality Bento box but seriously not this one. This restaurant is for people who have no idea what is true Japanese food !
