I've noticed that all of the reviews are very polar (very happy, very pissed off). Fortunately i can be in the positive group -- sort of. I called last night as my evap has a meltdown. I called around and they had some one available for this morning. Its 8.11 and there is someone here already, with a/the/some part. Lets hope the new motor fixes it.
I disagree with the below comments. I have had a good run with Austec. The office staff were helpful. The electrician was a little late, but I have had a good run.
Mate, you can't disagree with our comments, because that is what happened to us, fact, you can only comment on your own experience, which, luckily for you, was OK, however, I would suggest that if you had cause to query the standard of workmanship or what you had been charged, you would see an entirely different attitude, I am sure they are friendly, until you say something they don't like, then they treat you like c**p and start threatening, what do you think about being charged for a part that costs circa $65 from any electrical wholesaler, and then being charged nearly $400 for the same part, what about giving you a cost for 1 electrician to do the job, then charging you for two, what about a job that should take between one and one and a half hours taking seven and a half, I'm glad you had a good experience, but you can't disagree with what "actually" happened to the many many other people (the vast majority) who had major issues with this comapny for oneread more
You do realise they do have to pay the electrician to go get the part... and you don't know what that electrician might find while working on your house... they might have found something that was a danger to you and fixed it... or you actually had multiple things wrong compared to what you explained to them originally.
Two Days wasted waiting for the technician, No follow up or contact from the technician advising when he would be round. Only contact we received was them advising that technician would not be around and we would have to wait until the next morning. after I reached the afternoon on the second day I contacted them.only for them to Tell me that technician may not be around until The following day,. Glad I looked up reviews on them and cancelled before they wasted any more of my time.
Two Days of work lost, I would never treat any of our clients in such a manner.
Totally unprofessional, Poorly organized and no customer service. I only wish there was a minus star option.
