Disappointed in how poor the service has been.
Went in to discuss a concrete pool but nobody there to discuss with me so they booked an appt 9 days later to come out (fine).

We recently engaged AOL to build a pergola and paid a deposit. Very shortly afterwards our circumstances changed unexpectedly and we had to address another urgent matter related to the stability of our home. We are pensioners and could not afford both, so we asked to cancel our contract and receive a partial refund of our deposit. This was refused, despite what the cancellation clause in their own contract states and despite the fact that no plans had been submitted to Council and no fees paid.
Update: After I lodged a complaint on their Facebook page, we received a response from AOL's Customer Relations Manager who, while stating that they were not required to do anything about my complaint, offered us $200 back from our $1000 deposit. We said we were happy for them to keep sufficient funds to cover their genuine expenses but we wanted them to state what they were. She agreed to do that and get back to me. Two days later we had no response so I called and was told their Sales Manager had refused point blank to specify any costs and he was adamant no funds would be returned, which typified his behaviour throughout. Despite that, she still offered the $200 goodwill gesture, which we have now accepted simply to bring the matter to an end.
We have been so happy with Australia Outdoor Living! They have done a high quality job and any issues have been dealt with with such a high level of professionalism. I have found they were approachable and dealt with any of our concerns immediately. Even when we accidentally overpaid, they contacted us and refunded us straight away. We have got them to install our pool and our roller shutter blinds and we are so happy with the quality of the product and for their excellent work! Everyone has been so nice, it was a great experience and wouldn’t have gone through anyone else! Thank you to all the great staff and contractors!
Very poor and disappointing service. I received a call from luke regarding doing quotes fake turf and a gable verandah. I was requested to have my partner there as she was un available i was told i was wasting there time as i would not be able to give an answer on purchasing it that day. I responded with it would not be a waste of time as i can make the decision. I was then told it be a waste of time for them to send anyone out to do a quote and can do it over the phone i requested them to do it over the phone but apparently that was a waste of time to. The service from Luke was disgusting and rude. It should be investigated due to the fact the a verhanda and fake turf isnt cheap and has lost thousands of dollars and a customer in one conversation. I will never be recommending Australian outdoor living and will be sharing my experience.
