Australian Vanlines' customer service when 'addressing' client complaints can at best be described as vindictive. After failing to deliver my furniture and household effects from Perth,WA to Auckland, New Zealand within the contracted time frame (instead nearly 4 weeks late), AVL's management initial response when pressed on the matter was to blame me .They later apologised and acknowledged liability however proceeded to lead me on a wild goose chase for over a month and a half with false promises of compensation being arranged. Ultimately AVL management did nothing but waste my time and they are expensive to boot.
Despite all the accreditations and promises, Australian Vanlines really has no more expertise than a search engine. As a result of relying on them for specific advice of what I was able to take on an international move, I landed up with a 5 week delay at the port of entry and many additional unexpected costs relating to customs, destruction of goods (a BBQ in my case), wasted transport costs andread more
