I wish I could go back in time and not book my interstate move with this company. This is going to be lengthy but please read on
Originally I booked with a different company that then passed me over to Auswide (once they took my money )to handle my move. I had no idea how that this was the case. I had booked a specific date for them to pick up my furniture and had told them I wS not flexible on dates because my lease was due to end a few days later. They are meant to call you 24 hours before arrival time, but I never received any call. On the arrival day which was a Sunday still no contact. Tried calling both companies but they don't have an after hours number to call on weekends - if you are completing jobs on the weekend I think it's commonsense to have a phone ...read more
My removal experience with this company turned into an absolute nightmare. Their communication and service was unbelievably bad. The furniture wasn't delivered on the first date it should have been. I phoned them (note they did not phone me) and agreed to a new date. Once again it wasn't delivered on that date either and once again they didn't inform me. After many phone calls (me to them) my furniture was finally delivered 3 weeks late! II strongly recommend those looking for a removalist company to find another one. To those who had a positive experience with this company, you really don't know how lucky you were!
I used Auswide to move they were the contractor that received the booking, unknown to me. However I found them to be more helpful that the original company I booked though. If you are using a company check first that they do the work themselves so that you can just deal with one company and not have to be bounced back and forth to get information. would recommend auswide to anyone and will in future find a removalist who does their own work first to get quotes from to save the hassle but would definitely get a quote from auswide directly.
I used removal company and their contractor was Auswide Vanlines. Auswide confirmed that removal company are simply a booking agent, so please avoid both. Went with them because I thought I found a good deal, with Unitedmovers so pleasantly over the phone guaranteeing my items will arrive in time. Few days before they were due, rang Auswide and they said it will be late by 1-2 days. Then rang them again on the estimate late arrival day, Auswide could not tell me why the driver has not rang me to advise delivery time. Then the driver rang, advising driver was never scheduled to arrive by that day, it will definitely be the next morning! Unbelievable. In the end, my mattress was soiled and packaging were damaged. My items survived coming from overseas, but Auswide Vanlines. I will certainly stay clear and never use Unitedmovers nor Auswide Vanlines. The headaches with them is not worth the dollars saved.
I strongly advise anyone against using a removal company and their contractor Auswide Vanlines.
Firstly this company from what I can see doesn't even do the removals themselves, they just pass on your booking to other contractors. So they are taking no responsibility at all.
Next issue is if what is listed on the web site selection list doesnt exactly match what you have, the contractors will use these to call those things Extras ...read more
