Totally agree with everybody on here. They sell cheap Chinese Imports and re-branded as Auto 8 then add a worthless 5 year warranty to make it looks good.
I have bought 1 alternator plus 1 airconditioning compressor from them and they both failed after just 6 months.
I had to pay a mechanic to remove the unit, send it in to them at my own cost, then waited for 4 weeks for them to assess. It got a replacement alternator but couldn't be bothered going through the same process with the compressor so I bought a new Denso instead. They won't contribute a cent to the 3K damages caused by the alternator spiking to 20V and nothing for the leaking aircon compressor. Don't waste your time on Auto8's product because you will regret it!
I ordered an alternator for my xf falcon off auto 8. I was pleased when it turned up afrer only two days. But now i am furious!!!!. As soon as i put it on is made a loud screech and i turned the engine off immediately. After a short time running it got extremly hot. I am not happy, after just reading these reveiws i am unsure weather or not to send it back, i want my money back
You are not the only one mate. I bought an alternator from them as well and just after 6 months, it played up and increasing the charge rate to 20V and virtually destroyed all my sensitive electricals. I ended up with close to 3K in costs, I was stranded in the middle of nowhere and all I got is a replacement unit. They would not even pay for postage to send the faulty unit in not to mention labour cost to refit the unit. It took them 4 weeks to assess the claim!
Shockingly poor service - the claimed 5 year warranty is a waste of time, Like others here I have experanced them failing to provide replacements for warranty failures, This forced me to purchase a replacement else where (I had waited nearly a month and could not be without my car any longer ) , they then would not provide a refund, Now over 4 months from when the problems started they have the faulty alternator back (cost me nearly $50 to send to them) they have had the alternator back since last year. and Im left without a replacement, without a refund and even without a faulty alternator. my best advise to anyone is NEVER EVER deal with them

THANKS JONO. PROBLEM IS THE ONE GUY ANSWERING ALL YOUR CALLS AND NUMBERS WONT PUT US THROUGH TO YOU OR ANYONE ELSE. HE WILL DESTROY YOUR BUSINESS TRUST ME. I JUST CALLED NOW AND DESPITE ME SENDING MY BANK DETAILS SEVERAL WEEKS AGO FOR THE SECOND TIME HE HADNT BOTHERED TO REFUND THE MONEY HE ORIGINALLY SAID YOU WOULD. HE CONSTANTLY NEEDS REMINDING AND DENIES HE WAS THE GUY WE SPOKE TO. EVEN THOUGH AT A GUESS HE IS THE ONLY JAIMEE WORKING THERE. HE FULLY WELL KNEW OF THE SIMPLE TRANSACTION HE CREATED. WE ORDER PART WE GET PART, WRONG PART OUR MISTAKE, WE THEN WANT TO ORDER CORRECT PART FROM YOU MINUS YOUR FREIGHT COST. YOU THEN MAKE MORE MONEY BUT FROM THAT POINT HE SCREWS IT UP. Cheap parts but very poor customer service. I would give them less then 1 star if the system allowed. We called several times to follow up our concerns and always got JAIMY on the phone despite calling different extensions. Something shady going on and they or JAIMY as he is the only one allowed to answer the phone would not accept our complaint or feedback. Late getting the part and the wrong item.
