Made a special trip in to buy a cake for my mother who is here on holidays from Perth. Got there just after 7 am (with the sign saying open at 7 am) told by a very rude girl to come back at 8 am - If you don't open at times indicated on the net or the door - better change them. And no need to be rude to customers - I wasn't rude or disrespectful to you - So expect same polite service.
Just around the corner from the main street, this unassuming cafe/bakery was super busy! There waa a huge selection of pies, sausage rolls, sweets & bread. The pies were big & filles generously with selected filling. The hit was steak & guiness & lamb & rosemary. Loved the gluten free chocolate cake & pear frangipane tart which had a really nice short, buttery base. The choc chip oat cookies were so sweet but addictive, perfect with a coffee or tea. Service was fast & friendly and was a great little place to stop.
Came back for more (have to make sure that positive review is still appropriate, right?) and still very happy about these pies - had the lamb and rosemary, it was delicious. Still recommend these pies as some of the very best around. Though for regular loaves of bread I'd pick the sourdough bakery around the corner instead these days I think
