At Banneton, our philosophy is grounded in the belief that as a food staple, our breads must be naturally delicious, wholesome and made without the use of artificial improvers or additives. With this in mind, we prepare our doughs gently, using only natural ingredients and time-honoured traditional methods to build flavour and texture without damaging the delicate structure of the dough.

I have only had the coffee and bread here so can't comment on the rest of the food but this is some of the best bread in Brisbane. My favourite is the sourdough with roasted vegetables. Yes they are baked through the bread so that when you cut it open there are chunks in the pieces!! I was going to get a tart here for a dinner party, they looked great but were overpriced. Come for the bread!
We went there to get a take away lunch and coffee today and it didn't look busy. There were three waiting persons and no one asked what we wanted for 10 minutes even though we were standing right in front of them. After awhile one of them told us to wait longer and we waited at least another 5 minutes to just make an order. Eventually, we got what we ordered, but coffee tasted horrible. I asked for skim milk with one sugar, but it tasted like full cream milk and no sugar. Again, it wasn't even busy in the shop!
