I have been treated with nothing but contempt by Berwick Mazda as well as Mazda’s corporate customer department.
I have a BT50 2009. In the last 16 months I have had three EGR coolers fail, and the first failure also resulted in a cracked head and a $4200 repair bill. The first major repair was by an independent mechanic using genuine Mazda parts provided by Berwick Mazda, but only lasted two weeks before the new EGR cooler failed again. A replacement cooler was again provided by Berwick Mazda. The second new cooler failed after 12 months so this time so I had the car towed to Berwick Mazda. They confirmed that the latest EGR cooler had melted internally, but that since it was fitted by an independent mechanic the part must have been perfect and the mechanic at fault. After finding out that my loan fell through and could not get the money to finance the car, the manager of Berwick mazda accused me of making up the story and were very rude trying to pressure me into keeping the car. Once I told him what went on, he stated that my 'story' is very 'original' and tried to state that I'd changed my mind in buying the car so they would keep the deposit. Very unhappy with the service from this company and I will be telling all my girlfriends who want to buy mazdas to go to Bruce Clough as they have far better service.
