I rang the manager at Bigw Geelong today about a problem returning a dvd still in wrapper no receipt , he found my purchase on their computer and printed it out to leave at service desk for me. He was helpful and very polite, cant give enough praise. Maybe the service lady at the retuns desk needs some customer service training she was abrupt and unhelpful came across as she didnt care if she could help me or not. I only wanted an exchange not a refund, as it was I bought 2 more dvds that day. Must say this is the first time I have had a problem at the service desk!
The Big W store in Geelong is woeful on customer service and their 1300 line is not much better. I waited like 10 mins pressing buttons in the Layby department for a parcel pick up and didn't even get an apology for the wait or a 'please' or 'thankyou'. Worst example of customer service ever.
I'm disappointed with staff attitude at this store, I visited today looking for work boots, this well stocked store seemed to have a range of types, but some staff were useless. I approached two staffs about sizing and one of them told me to go to the front of the store because "there may be a boot sale... like... i dont know they might be there... why dont you just check???" and then laughed to the other staff like they were tricking me. They were. The front of the store had a shoe sale, but no boots, school shoes they were. Not one boot in sight. The staffs attitude seemed like they just wanted me to piss off so they could continue chatting. I then approached a more senior worker and asked about sizing, just as I was starting to mention how rude this staff was, this person came from a around the corner, rolled eyes and said "sure..... I'll look out the back..." Didn't have my size only a "no we dont'' disappointing considering I go into Big W all the time because their prices areread more
