Like Sam&Cat we too travel an hour to take our pets to Blakes Crossing Vet. They are very Professional & the pricing is affordable, so to me it is about the welfare of the animals, not so much the money. I have been held by emotional ransom by my past experience with other vets, who very well know you will pay the price because you love your pets like your children, we have 2 dogs & a cat. Even though we travel an hour we turn it into a family outing & it's worth the travel.
Exceptional Service, the best vet clinic I've been to in Adelaide.! All the vets in my area were closed on Sundays, but Blakes Vet fit me in on a Sunday morning. The staff were really helpful, the pricing was much lower than I expected, and they helped me set up Vet Pay. Even though it takes me almost 1 and a half hours to drive there (from Flagstaff Hill), it was totally worth the trip, and I will always be using Blakes Vet from now on!
I recently bought this puppy from a previous owner. I tried calling to get any information about this puppy and had gotten no where. They kept suggesting i take her in for a re-check that would cost me $$. I had asked the vet to fax over any information on the dog to my local vet this did not happen.
When i picked up the puppy from the previous owner her eyes were 'tacked' very poorly. 3 days later i had to take her to another vet due to her eyes weeping. Causing an eye infection. Blakes crossing vet told the previous owner that the antibiotics they had given her were to prevent an eye infection. (The antibiotics are to treat skin infections). The new vet had to re-tack her eyes. Also when the new vet doctor looked inside her ears they were filled with gunk causing her to have ear drops.
It is unfortunate that you feel this way about your experience when dealing with our clinic. However, we are un-able to send through any histories regarding any patient that was not presented by you unless the original owner has authorized it. This is due to privacy reasons. We recommended an examination to enable us to advise on the best treatment available for your puppy. Our clinic prides itself on pricing and would've been happy to help if pricing was a concern.
Hope all is going well for your puppy,
The Team at Blakes Crossing.
