Bub's Fish & Chips

We had been here many times before when our boys were younger & enjoyed the food. We recently returned after our sons Rugby League semi final at Salamander Bay on Saturday afternoon for lunch & what a mistake & waste of money it was. The chips were hard & dry & had way to much salt. The fish was just OK. We definitely wont be returning & will not recommend it to anyone else heading upto the bay. $46 to feed 2 adults & a 15 year old - very poor value for money.

Absolutely love it best food 99% of the time.
Burgers can be dry at times but other then that excellent food ??

For fresh seafood it's hard to beat Bub's. Everything we ordered was just amazing.

And with ten people in our group the orders were vast and varied. The staff delivered everything we asked for and at the same time which is no mean feat.

But apart from the great food the prices are incredible. Such great value for such fresh and tasty seafood.

We highly recommend Bub's at Nelson Bay.

I don't know what's with all the bad reviews! It's not the best I've had but I've had much worse (believe me!) but the fish is crunchy but more batter then fish. The chips are crunchy and really not as bad as people make it up to be

If you are hungry go for the seafood platter. It is divine. A mixture of cold and hot seafood, and great chippies: Bub's is a must!!
