I use Bupa for my health insurance. I constantly think - whats the point? I pay all this money in premiums and then whenever I get medical bills the out of pocket expense is astronomical. Perhaps these complaints are more about health insurance generally than Bupa.... I use them because of a corporate discount. I find the call center staff helpful and knowledgeable. Although, to be honest, I am struggling to see the value in the whole thing.
The only reason Im still with them is due to a corporate cover, otherwise its by far one of the worse health insurance companies Ive ever joined up with. I have had numerous enquiries and issues over the phone in which each and every consultant who seems to work for them are uncertain of their product knowledge or information that they provide. On numerous occasions they have given the incorrect information in which Ive been no frustrated I have had to ask to speak to their supervisor. On a recent experience earlier today, in which they requested that I pay an extra month for trying to suspend and unsuspended the account, after been transferred to 4 different people and on hold for 45 minutes they finally agree that they had provided me with the incorrect information. No apologies from their side apart from the fact that they will now update the correct details. I would not recommend this health provider, at this stage Im also currentlyread more
