CONSIGNMENT- THE ECONOMICAL ADVANTAGES
Selling by consignment delivers a much higher return to the seller than if the same vehicle were traded to a motor dealer or sold at auction. Why? Well for starters, we do not buy your car, so we do not have any of the financial costs associated with such. We are also not encumbered with any of the other costs of ownership which include servicing and maintenance, registration and insurance etc. As you are the owner, these remain your responsibilities.
Many of the vehicles we consign are late model, low kilometre units, so they are sought by the business buyer who benefits from claiming the GST proportion. As a licensed dealer, we are able to construct a tax invoice, inclusive of such, which automatically gives us a 10% advantage over the private seller of the same vehicle. If the sale is one of a private nature then the vehicle is sold GST inclusive to the end user as ownership passes from one private owner to the next.

Personal imports (Green Compliance Plated cars) seem misunderstood by local buyers and Porsche Dealers. Every Porsche has a value, wether Australian compliance or not, in my opinion the value of anything is determined by what the buyer thinks. When I moved overseas I was at a loss as to what to do with selling my Range Rover Evoque. I had tried unsuccessfully to sell it privately and had to contend with endless unrealistic offers and no shows to view the car.
