Organised a Birthday for a friend here and the staff is so RUDE! Considering our bill was over $700 I just dont think any cent was well spent. The staff was heard making snarky comments about our table and to be blunt I WOULD NEVER GO BACK THERE! Real shame as its got a great view.
You cant book ahead and well, thanks god i will never need to!
Sitting at this little caf/restaurant on a nice sunny day, you get a perfect view of beautiful Balmoral beach and its frolickers. The practically endless parade of luxury cars and motorbikes got a little annoying but maybe thats what The Esplanade is all about and I just didnt get the memo.
I had a steak sandwich which was very nice but overpriced at almost $30 however the wine was excellent. The staff were very friendly and not intrusive or too keen to move people on after winding up their meals. Awaba has a very relaxed atmosphere and Id be interested in trying them for dinner.
The famous "Awaba" St hosts huge houses that a lot of Banking CEOs live in but are a sight to behold, the view of the private location here is just magic. The restaurant "Awaba" cafe makes the best avocado, roast tomato and Lemon on sourdough bread and the owner Steve is the friendliest man around. If you are after a quiet, private feel, its the place to go, take a book & a hammock & youre set!
Awaba Cafe is at Balmoral Beach. It is a great place for alfresco dining or takeaway coffee. The views are superb. The coffee here is divine . Book ahead if dining to avoid disappointment. Service is sharp + great wine list. Did I mention the great coffee? Enjoy Awaba.
