We were in search for the home of the world, well, Perths famous chilli mussels. We made the journey.
Upon being seated the menu was named Capriccio Italiano, we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Now about the mussels....
Hmmmmm, do not waste your time or money. We ordered upon suggestion from the wait staff an extra large serving for $38.00. Out came the plate overloaded with what looked like a massive serve, but don't be fooled. The tiny shells we undersized, I would say no more than a small thumb nail of flesh itself. And that's if the shell contained any mussel at all. At least 50% of the serving were empty shells!
My partner asked why so? Only to be told it had something to do with the "moon phase"? ....Not a very convincing answer. The chilli mussels, they themselves were a figment of our imagination! Give it a big fat miss! If I could award a zero out of ten, yes that would fit perfectly...NEVER AGAIN :)
