Melbourne's recent wild winds took out an existing motor on my automated gate. The company that had installed it have since disappeared to I didn't know what to do. Looking for a local company I popped into Chadstone Fences & Gates and felt confident I'd found the right one. One of 3 automated gates on the property, Clem and his staff were able to replace the broken motor and link the remote control to the other two gates. A big relief to me as I didn't want 2 chunky remotes to juggle with on my keys. More than happy with their friendly service and work
Chadstone Fences and Gates are highly recommended for the “Digital Barcode” fence and double swing R/C gates which are handsome, and exactly as required. From the initial meeting and consultation, to the first opening of the gates with the R/C, the process has been seamless and transparent, with extra consideration to accommodate other work-in-progress. The fence and gates were built and installed as specified, on-time, and without any fuss or bother. The marketing and design staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable and expert, in and about all things to do with designing, constructing and installing fences and gates. Advice and assistance, in obtaining the necessary permits, including drawings and specifications, finding a registered builder and obtaining a building permit, and electricians to install the lights and remote controls, was included in their service, as were informal and informative chats at their offices. Poor after sales service. Been waiting for over 7 months for the catcher on my gates to be replaced - it started rusting, which should never have been the case in the first place. Numerous calls resulted in numerous promises but nothing hapenned so far. Should things go wrong after initial installation, you can forget any service from this company, and don't trust their promises.
Poor Product and Service from Chadstone Fences & Gates This is the first time I have posted a product or service review online, but I feel so aggrieved by my experience with Chadstone Fences & Gates, that I decided to warn others of what they might expect. I too have benefited from reviews, good and bad, that others have taken the time to put online, so my turn to give back something. One obvious caveat this is a sample of one customer; others experiences may be entirely different. My new gate, fitted in June 2013, has been little short of a disaster and my experience with their staff has been frustrating in the extreme. To cut a long story short: They made the gate 10cm too narrow. Their solution if I was to accept wider posts, then they could get the new gate fitted quickly. I had little choice, since they had already pulled the old gate off and could only do a temporary refit. From memory, it took another week to get the gate finally installed. Noread more
