Located on the popular Victoria street with growing number of cafes around the area.
One negative was that the coffee took a bit longer to come out after ordering. Also there was a waiting line and there was no where to really stand. However, the food made up for it. Price competitively against those around the area, and looked deliciously presented. It was a decent portion as well. I ordered the standard avo with toast and eggs. The juice was also nice and refreshing. Will be back to try their hot cakes as well!
I always love coming to common galaxia. The service is great and so is the coffee and service. The meals are exceptionally tasty and reasonably priced, really loved the lunch menu as well - the mussels was fantastic and they have a large selection of baked treats too. I suggest common galaxia to anybody who likes quality brunch cafes! It gets really busy here on the weekends but definitely worth the minor wait. There are also little seats by the window is nice for enjoying your coffee and reading your paper.
I felt like brunch and wanted to try a place I hadn't been to yet. I read about this cafe in the good food guide 2014 and happened to be in the area. Unlike other brunch places, there wasn't a wait and we were seated immediately. When I first entered the cafe, one of the staff members just walked right pass us without acknowledging us, we had to approach another staff member ourselves in order to be seated. They didn't ask us if this is our first time or explain anything on the menu to us which I didn't appreciate.
As for the food, I had the steak sandwich which was massive, too big to the point you couldn't even eat it like a sandwich and had to eat itread more
