In the end this is just another typical pub. Okay, it's a pretty big pub with quite a large beer garden, but in the end there is nothing all that much about this place that grabbed my attention. Okay, there is a decent lounge area, which was much quieter than the rest of the pub, and there was also a front bar area, which is also quite large. However, the selection of beers wasn't all that impressive, and despite it's size, on those lovely summer days when all of Sydney flocks to the beaches, it can still be difficult getting around.
There's great seating space, it's just such a bright and well furnished interior that reflects the 'by the ocean' feel. It accommodated our group breakfast for a friend's birthday. We didn't have any problems getting seated on a Saturday which was great. I really enjoyed the Spanish omelette we ordered which was so flavoursome and filled with chorizos and potatoes. The dollop of sour cream on top was really tasty so all together, breakfast was very enjoyable!
Really great place for a feed and a lazy afternoon near the beach. It is a hemmes establishment, replete with all the usual trimmings and higher prices.
Went here for a staff Christmas party (one of so many). Had fun. Felt the crowd was a bit young though: early to mid twenties. Maybe I am just getting old.
