I visited here recently for a quick coffee, which was very good, as always, but the other thing I got was a large amount of pickles and fruits in jars for christmas hampers I made up
for family members that I always give a hamper to. These goodies really put a smile on the faces of the recipients mainly because of the Cornersmith items inside, and of course knowing that everything has been ethically sourced just makes it all the more fantastic.
I enjoy visiting this place as they have good coffee, healthy meals and produce their own relishes and pickles. I always order the same thing, this time was no exception. I got the ploughmans plate with cheese, bread, relish, apple, ham, fennel and radish. I really enjoyed it.
Follow your passion and you will do well. It's great to see the family run Cornersmith owning that mantra and enjoying the fruits of their labour, supporting local and practicing ethical food production with a focus on quality.
Perfect place to catch up for coffee and a bite. Enjoyed my coffee and coconut tapioca with pineapple, mango, mint and pineapple skin syrup immensely. Friendly service and a cafe space with loads of character.
A fabulous cafe and picklery in Marrickville that emphasises local, ethical, seasonal food and changes its menu frequently accordingly. Brekky is a simple affair with a short but sweet list of options that keep true to its principles. Cornersmith's uniqueness is perhaps demonstrated best in the ploughman's platter - a fresh and tasty plate of meat, cheese, fruit and pickles (so many pickles!) with fresh bread and some of their homemade chutney. Not for the pickle-phobic but definitely worth a taste otherwise.
