I got them around as we had a red light flashing on our Daikin Air Conditioning unit. I was told to sit down by the adminstration lady in charge as they said it would cost $3k to replace the unit but as we were on old technology or their advice was to get a new system at $7k. Advice get a second opinion as one of their rivals came around and serviced it for $350...plus also told us that we had two more years out if it minimum....Was pleased that I didn't have to spend $3000 to $7000 but also not happy that i could have done if I hadn't got a second opinion.
I emailed DACS in Feb 2016 to maintain my 3yo Daikin unit with squeaky fans. They sent a technician to inspect the unit for 5minutes and gave me a quote for $841.29 inc gst (quote no ***58) on 12 Feb 2016. I reply to ask if they would make it $780 instead. They did not reply. To my surprise, on 2 Mar they sent a text for confirmation of a job appointment on 3 Mar (yep 1 day notice without acceptance of job). I rang up to inform them that I have never accepted any quote and DACS said they will return the parts. That's the story so far. finger crossed...I am yet to find out DACS charges attempt if any. Just wrote another email to DACS to check if I would be billed.
