These guys have years of producing the finest wines in the world. Seriously top shelf wines but a variety of great thrifty wines you can drink with your crew with confidence you don't need mortgage to party on.
Alternatively, there are some fine wines of exceptional vintages that can be put down for prosperity & even bargains that will do your cellar proud. You'll see many prize winners at good prices tho a carton can be so nice it's worth saving a bottle or 2. Happy tasting.
One of my favourite places for a long, winey lunch. The food is consistently excellent. They have al a carte option or a degustation option. I've only ever gone with the degustation option with the matched wines. The service is always 100% professional and you could have multiple people looking after you without noticing it. Lovely setting. Never disappointed by the food but I always have my fingers crossed that the passionfruit souffle is on the menu.
Hubby and I are a huge fan of their wines, and even made the pilgrimage to the winery once. Whenever we head to the bottle shop for a quality bottle at a reasonable price we look for the familiar red stripe, and look no further if we find one. Twice we've visited their stands at the Sydney food and wine show. Last year the delightful staff let us and our friends try a whole bunch of their wines including some we'd never tried before, and we happily ordered a few bottles to be delivered. A few years earlier though we almost thought twice about our loyalty. We were delighted to find that "Darry" the owner was at the stand, but we tried vainly to get his attention while he appeared to be serving the more well heeled looking visitors. In the end we gave up and walked away without even getting to taste the wines. Pity as all we wanted to do was tell him what a fan we are and buy some wines. ...read more
Time and Time again, d'Arenberg fail to disappoint! A degustation menu to satify and surprise even the biggest critic! Nine courses of aromatic tantilisiling entree type meals, all matched with d'arenberg wines. Highly reccommend as a number one top spot! Will be back for the next seasonal feast!
