I took my iPhone 5s in for repair after it stopped reading the SIM card. I initially paid $45 for the phone to be assessed and was asked 'What is your budget for the repair?'. I reluctantly said $100-150 thinking surely the dont just charge out the job a the customers max limit?... Thatd be too obvious wouldnt it?!
Later that day(about an hour later) i received an email notifying the phone could be repaired within my given budget. The next day i picked up the phone and guess what, the repair cost me $125 extra on top of the $45 already paid so $170 all up. Thats hardly within budget but so be it, at least my phone was repaired relatively quickly. The repair report said 'Reflowed & realigned SIM card reader assembly. ALLread more
Digimob actually took parts from my phone when they took it apart to quote... This is probably the poorest dealings I have ever had with a 'business'. I had water damaged my 3 month old iPhone 5 and as a result it was not turning on. I took it to Digimob after driving past their office on Pulteney Street thinking they would be able to help me out.
I took it in to get the damages quoted for, the quote took 48 hours which is a normal waiting time, however the quote was for $600...nearly the cost of a new iPhone. So I took it to another shop in Rundle Place. The service here was great, they looked at the damages straight away while I waited... however much to myread more
not impressed at all...quoted $90 to fix. got the phone back and still not working. they said covered by the quote and also the 6 month warranty. also said the courier was covered by them. after a week and a half I had to ring and they are after another $120+ to fix. oh and the courier only covered to $10. I now have $90 + $50 in courier + another $120??? wt? phone still not fixed. I have been asked to complain via email and have no phone... Will never use again
Not Impressed with the service at all. when i dropped my phone in there was only one customer service helper, the staff member was run off their feet. I dropped my phone in for a quote which they told me would take 24 hours, three days later I contacted them to proceed with fixing my phone, which again they assured me would be 5-7 days. 9 days after i dropped it in i called them asking when i would be finished, they assured me the next day. so again i called and told me that it had just been given to the repairers. I am incredibly annoyed that they did not even start fixing my phone until i contacted them to say that i needed my iPhone and has been left without a phone for more than a week. Needless to say i will not be paying the $170 they are asking for, for repairing the phone. Will not be taking my phone or suggesting them to anyone, anytime soon.
