Shockingly bad service especially give the preium nature of the products sold. I have waited months for delivery of some items costing several thousand dollars with no explanation from DCW and no apology. The late delivery has happened on many of my orders this year the longest delay being 3 months after being told the lens was in stock! I will not be using DCW again as I am sick and tired of chasing them and the staff not giving two hoots.
Today I got in my hot little hands, the brand new Nikon D7200. I had been waiting for this day for three weeks and keeping an eye on many Photography Store websites to see when the stock would be arriving. One place I emailed and they could not give me a date, however I found these guys and I had heard reports the camera was getting released on the 19 March. Checked their website today and saw it was in stock! Gave these guys a call, and mind you, I was on hold for around 10 minutes, however the guys were really friendly and were able to secure the item for me at the Canterbury store. Went in, paid for and collected the item. Great Service, cheapest price thus far around. Thanks guys!
I was given a ticket and had to wait 20 minutes, then the assistant seemed impatient after I wanted to look at a 3rd camera (I had only briefly looked at 2 in 2 minutes), which was a Canon G1x. I put it down to compare with another , at which time another assistant came over and snatched it away to show and demonstrate to other customers. I noticed a few other people had come in to complain about services and the staff all seem grumpy and terse. It may be competitive, but how much money do you need to save to deal with such people?
