I have never had such a bad experience in a hairdresser before. I spent half of my 4 hours at Diligo crying, although the person doing my hair was lovely & polite- the management staff was the rudest person I have ever met. They were extremely nasty, and insisted on telling me my hair looked like 's**t' compared to how it looked once I was leaving. I entered the salon requesting my regrowth be redone, & showing them how it was done before hand. They told me this would be no issue, after 3.5 hours and numerous attempts to fix their mistake in making my hair extremely yellow & brass - they ended up blaming the situation on me, telling me I had 'unrealistic expectations' & could never have gotten the hair colour I wanted - despite having had it 2 months before with no issues. It was the worst experience at a hair dresser I have ever had, and I will make sure anyone who asks me about hair dressers receives this story. Absolutely disgusting.
We have acknowledged and are very sorry for your experience at the salon. As we had discussed when you were having your consultation, it was confirmed that your previous hairdresser had been using a higher volume of peroxide than what is allowed by law, and we had made it very clear that we would not be following the same procedure as we care more about the health of your hair than anything else which we feel would and should be appreciated by most clients. We did as you had asked us, which was to touch up your roots and we did in fact get a clearer blonde than what your ends were. We cannot over process your hair as it is quite dangerous, only a professional salon would be able to inform a client such as yourself what can and can not be done to achieve the color you want. Your consultation was very clear and you AGREED to what was said.
I had the pleasure of going to Diligo for a restyle and colour. I can't rave about this place enough, it was amazing! My usual hairdresser returned to England, and after having my hair hacked by another hairdresser I was very nervous about going to another salon. I'm very picky about my exceptionally thick, frizzy, and unruly hair - yet the staff at Diligo listened to my concerns, understood my needs, and recommended an amazing cut and colour - I left feeling like a supermodel with silky smooth, manageable locks and a colour that I love! The added and VERY important bonus is that this salon has a creche. Being a first time mother that has never left her child with anyone (other that my partner or my mother) I was nervous to say the least, but the staff were wonderful and understanding and I was over the moon to find my Son happily playing away with Helen who was a complete natural with him. I'm already looking forward to my next appointment, and will beread more
I had been going to the salon for approximately 3 years, most of the times I was happy with the result, however I had to cancel an appointment once and when I rescheduled and went in for my regular treatment the management and the hair technician were quite rude to me. Not only that, the technician I had been seeing for the last 3 years did the worst colour on my hair ever. I left very disappointed and returned a few days later to talk to staff and response - incredibly rude. No help, no wanting to help no trying to help. Told me nothing staff could do but fix it next time. To think my loyalty for the last 3 years wasn't important enough to offer any rectification. I can totally believe the other reviews that have a negative impact as I've had the displeasure of being on the receiving end of their "service" when they are put out. Their fine when all is going their way but when a problem occurs look out don't expect any help.
I just walked out of this salon actually crying. They ruined my hair 5 days before Christmas. Never had such an unprofessional service. I asked for foils to cover the regrowth and ended up with rainbow of colours, including green, and my regrowth still there! I can't believe it, never been so upset. After I told them I'm not happy they just told me I had unrealistic expectations. What I was after was simple and straight forward. They had no idea what they were doing. Not a clue. They didn't charge me, otherwise I'd be lodging a case with ACCC. Their creche is great though, Staff was amazing with my son. Beware!!!
Unreliable and inflexible. Turned up to my confirmed appointment and was set away when the 'casual' didn't turn up. It would seems managing casual has became the customers' responsibility. No attempt was made to honour the appointment even when I explained I had caught public transport across town to get there and it would take about an hour to get home. Apologising is easy and does not recompense for the inconvenience incurred. Like I say, unreliable and inflexible.
