The Knox Dragon Boat Restaurant seats up to 280 people making it ideal for all functions and receptions. With its excellent yum cha served daily, and special express service, Dragon Boat is a great place to revive before taking in a movie at the cinema nearby. Add to this the efficient takeaway, the children welcome policy and top quality food and Dragon Boat in Knox is a real winner.
My husband and I have been here quite a few times, and twice for birthdays. I love the busy, warm and vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant. I love how it is brightly lit up and cheerful. The staff have always been friendly, and the food is always served up quickly. The food is delicious, but a little overpriced for the servings. On birthdays, they play a happy birthday song so it puts the lucky birthday girl/boy in a delightfully uncomfortable position as everyone cheers (all in good fun), and they bring out a big samurai sword (prop) at cake cutting time and the staff gladly take photos to capture the fun memories. They are very welcoming and I will return.
Oh Dragon Boat. Three times I have eaten here, three times I have regretted it. In my opinion the food is average at best, the serving sizes are disappointing, and the prices are ridiculously high for what you get. To be fair though, the service is pleasantly fast. Despite its convenient location in the Knox Ozone, the place is always, always empty. But for me, the final nail in Dragon Boat's shoddily-built coffin was this: The staff appear to be amused when you ask for cutlery instead of chopsticks. I mean really, in this day and age! Don't go to Dragon Boat; join me in searching further afield for a restaurant after the movies.
