I first went to see Dr Pudel back in 2014 and we established that I would need Surgery. I ended up postponing the Surgery due to a combination of Financial hardship and being afraid to commit to the Surgery. This year I thought I would Just commit and have the procedure. I was able to call his office and schedule an appointment and at the same time make a tentative booking for the Surgery. The Receptionist Lina was excellent and guided me through the entire process. Even though I had only given Dr Pudels office a short timeframe they were still able to accommodate the procedure prior to end of this financial year, which greatly assisted me with the benefits of my healthread more
Our 3.5yo son has been in Dr. Pudel's care since he was 10 months old. He is the most amazing doctor and such a kind, genuine person too. Our son can't wait for his check ups with "Dr Poodle", who is always gentle and patient and ensures the experience is positive. We have often needed weekly consultations and Dr Pudel goes above and beyond to accommodate, even replying to text messages, phone calls and emails promptly when we have concerns or issues arise that need attention. My daughter, niece, nephew and a number of friends have also been impressed with Dr. Pudel's lovely manner and brilliant knowledge and professionalism. He's a top ENT specialist!
Unless you are paying full price, don't expect this guy to want to know you. I decided to through the public system and Dr Pudel explained to me he would be performing the surgery. Post op found out he let the registrar do the surgery on the day. Had some difficulties and bleeding 5 days after surgery and he wouldn't even spend 2 mins on the phone to me.
Dear TrueLocal team
This patient has posted a poor ranking based on his false testimony and unjustified expectations.
He was told explicitly that as a public patient the post op care is not done through the private practice and indeed the operation itself can be completely done by the junior doctor.
Specifically, he was told that as a public patient I WOULD NOT be expected to do his operation. In, fact, he happened to be booked on my list, by luck, and I did have to do parts of surgery as I was teaching the junior registrar.
It is unreasonable for him to expect anything like what he's complained about, in the public service.
Dear true local team,
I was indeed advised by this doctor during my private consultation that he would be primarily operating on me. The booking clerk, surgical liaison nurse and junior registrar moments before surgery all confirmed this. I was understanding when I discovered this didn't end up happening, and proceeded to follow instructions post op on who to contact when in was experiencing pain and new bleeding. The specialist public clinic wasn't open on the day or next day so instead of heading to the ER, I thought to quickly call Dr Pudel to ask whether my symptoms were serious enough or normal. After waiting a few hrs for a call back, his receptionist eventually called to advise that he wasnt willing to answer any of my questions. I accept I'm a public patient (despite my previous private consultations) but I am of the opinion that fobbing off a 2min conversation with a post op patient lacked care and warrants the above review.
