My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here with dinner - the place is great. contrary to what the reviewer before me said, this place does have a lot of atmosphere, especially on a Monday night when the Swiss community comes in to play cards. Perhaps the previous interviewer would be better suited to going to a chain restaurant instead of wishing plastic service upon the wacky french owner who is a hoot. Some people might think he is rude, but in my opinion, they just don't get it. The guy busts your balls because he likes you. We didn't have a problem with the service or the food, it was wonderful. We will definately go back as soon as we have the hankering for some liquid cheese (liquid gold that is!). If you want regular service go to a regular restaurant, if you want an experience, go to the Eiger.
What you see is what you get. It all stared with the rudeness in the booking that should have been the first sign not to go. This restaurant lacks in service and atmosphere in my opinion. We were ordered to open our own wine, when we asked for the menu to be explained and what was the restaurant favorite we were told you know how to read English? its all explained on the menu. No drinks or extra were offered or suggested. The kids were too scared to talk as the waiter got angry with one of the kids for running his finger around the glass.
Not a place we intend to go back to. We couldnt wait to get out.
