My partner took me here for my birthday and it was a mouth-watering experience. We did the degustation with wine pairings and to say I was full at the end would have been an understatement. It was a lot of food but a lot of really great food and a bit of a show too. Each dish that was brought out was plated so uniquely and presented really well. It is a really oppulent interior with giant floor to cieling white columns and it was busy, probably because it is so good. Another great job from Merivale.
High quality food with an elegant ambience and the best service! I really enjoyed my intimate birthday dinner here and it was definitely topped by the vibes as soon as you arrive, where the attentive waiters were so welcoming. Every dish was so delicately made with a number of elements that created an overall delightful taste. My favourite dishes would have to be the grilled scallops with truffles, mushroom consumme and the macadamia parfait. The most entertaining sight was watching waiters present the dishes to all dining guests at the table at the same time, like it was rehearsed to perfection.
I found the decor to be really welcoming and understated, and the wait staff had the same qualities. I tried the Balmain bug raviolo, the Murray cod and a chocolate whisky delice. Each was delicious and the portions were just right. I'd absolutely head back here again.
