We had lunch at Faye's Cakes today. It was very busy as there was a car festival in the street. We had a hamburger and chips for my husband. The hamburger was very good, a real Aussie burger. The wait was a little long today but understandable because of the festival. I will go back again as the cakes looked fantastic. It was good value and well worth a visit .
The staff are a bit hit and miss, some are nice but others are interested in being nice or serving you. They seem to open and shut the store whenever the mood takes them and don't adhere to their advertised opening hours. The schnitzel and salad wraps are the best around and the burgers and roast meat rolls are great. Serving sizes of the food is super generous.
I love love love fayes cakes! i have been a faithful customer for two years now. The cupcakes are amazing! and the service is too! They always offer to deliver our coffees and food! just wanted to say a big big thank you and to everyone else, try their cupcakes if you have a sweet tooth.
We purchased a naming day cake and for the amount of money I paid for it I was not happy when I got it home and looked at it closely. The fondant was too thick, the fondant was also cracked and there were holes around the edges to which they used ribbon to hide their mistakes. We thought maybe the cake might taste better than the decorating skills but no it was a tasteless chocolate cake. Totally unhappy as we picked up the cake the day before and it was too late to arrange something else.
