FermentAsian is one of Barossa's best lunch/dinner hot spots. Owner Grant and his team go above and beyond here. The price point is good, and if you have matching wines with your meal, your experience will definately go to a higher level. The deserts here, including the lime desert dish, is awesome. This venue is home of South Australia's best wine list. You will not want to leave.
It is rare for a restaurant to only have positive reviews. Such is FermentAsian, a restaurant serving modern Southeast Asian cuisine in the Barossa Valley.
We completed our visit to the SA wine region with dinner at this highly recommended restaurant. We had lunch at fermentAsian and it was a great experience. The staff are excellent and assisted us to navigate our way through the huge winelist. The food was delicious. The spring rolls, the pork and betel leaf and the grilled prawns - excellent flavours. As were the chicken with lotus root and paddy herb, the pork belly and the red duck curry. This is many steps above your usual asian dining experience and you will pay accordingly but the experience is worth it.
Died and went to heaven when I ate here! Beautiful fresh, authentic, Vietnamese food. Great flavours with fresh herbs a just enough spice & zing! One of the owners served us and she was very helpful, friendly and cheerful. Lovely decorated restaurant in a beautiful part of Adelaide. Not one of these noisy, crowded caf style places but a truly pleasurable dining experience. I haven't stopped raving about this place! Well worth the drive!
