What an iconic venue in Melbourne's music history, going in you can almost feel the passion and energy of the throngs of bands that have played here since the 1960's.
That said the hall itself doesn't seem to have had any structual updates since then. The whole building could do with a renovation and on that note more seats could be added and have less standing room as the "moshpit" here is abit hard to see anything from, no matter where you stand.
The layout isn't good either. Once stuck down the front on the floor you have buckley's hope of getting to go to the toilet during the show as the toilets are located way at the back and one would loose their spot if you tried to leave.
Bad ventilation too. Was so hot even before the act started and one woman fainted and was carried out. Apparently they sometimes have raves here.....are those ravers mad?!
