I've been meaning to visit this pub for quite a while, ever since my bookclub arranged a get together here that I wasn't able to attend. I really like these pubs that are hidden away in the back streets, and this pub is certainly no exception. Not only does it have a pretty large beer garden, but also a glasshouse (if that is what you call them, because this glass house was full of people as opposed to plants) that offers you the sun, but keeps out the wind (I would also say the rain, but then again the rain and the sun generally don't occur together). Oh, I should also mention that I found the staff to be pretty friendly, and I even met the owner, who was also in a pretty chatty mood. I'd have to say that this is certainly a pretty cool pub, and the next time I'm in the area I'm certainly going to be stopping by again. Oh, and apparently it is dog friendly as well.
I found this lovely place that's so secretly hidden in Bendigo Street thanks to a friend who held his birthday party there. We were seated in the beer garden and had the whole space to ourselves which definitely predisposed us to feel like home with close friends and family, but with the perks of choosing dishes from an extensive menu you can hardly prepare at home and friendly staff catering to all your needs. We had a really good time with freshly prepared food (yes, it does take a bit longer than I'd like for it to be served but it's all worth the wait) and lovely selection of drinks to go with all kinds if dishes. Now that I know about this place, I'll be going back to enjoy the other settings it offers and for more of its cuisine.
