I had a Panasonic unit installed when my new house was being built as part of package deal. After moving in early December the AC didn't work for 2 weeks over Xmas/ New Year period until someone finally came out. Some of the material attached to vents had come off and some vents were not even opened in the roof....so clearly was not tested!! After having consultations over the phone about outlet positions in rooms they put some in completely different spot (consequently when I sit in my lounge chair with AC off I have a constant draft on me, yes I could close but not convenient being up ladder every other day!). Was also put in about 10cm from a light when they had 16m2 of ceiling space to choose? I also find the electronic panel to be sooooo complicated and unuser friendly. No function for say "turning on AC at 1200 after night shift" just on an ad hoc basis. I normally don't need instruction books but cannot work it out. Despite several phone calls and emailsread more
Had a breakdown on an 8 year old Daikin rev cycle system and as F & D were the installers rang and asked for a quote for repairs. The fault was in the base unit. They quote $3800+. Alarm bells rang and we contacted Daikin who came to inspect. The result: $1434.
I would advise anyone looking at a Daikin system to contact them direct.
On two separate occasions our air-conditioning unit has been damaged during a routine maintenance service carried out by this company. The unit was working perfectly prior to servicing but would not work at all after servicing. The first time the damage was caused when the company sent an unaccompanied apprentice out to carry out the service. On this latest occasion the service was carried out by one of their 'experienced technicians'. The company is quick to take your money but slow to fix the problems that they cause. Unimpressed with the attitude of the office staff.
