Foxeys Hangout is a beautiful property located at the gateway of the Mornington Peninsula. Renowned for growing, making and selling premium sparkling and still varietal wines, brothers Michael and Tony Lee use the bottle-fermented process pioneered in France's Champagne region. Visitors are offered the rare opportunity to create and bottle a unique sparkling wine blend of their own.
Such a beautiful place to spend a sunny spring day! There are fabulous 360 degree views all around and a convivial atmosphere. You need to book a winery tour and get your own personalised bottle of sparkling as an incentive! The food was simply excellent, although portions were a tad small considering the cost but on a par with the region. Get the degustation plates, they are delicious and can be modified for dietary requests.
Won't be returning. Incredibly rude staff, too noisy, very overpriced, small portions.
At first I thought I thought it was a nice venue. Polished wood and steel interior reminded me of what an Apple store might look like with restaurant and a view. However it's open floor plan with the kitchen, wine tasting and restaurant all in a small room no bigger than a double garage meant smoke from theread more
Walking into the dining area of Foxeys Hangout is like walking into a visual feast of serenity & beauty. Set amidst rolling plains of wines, Foxeys Hangout offers ceiling to floor windows looking out into a landscape that looks like it would come from a postcard. We did a winery tour which was insightful & the passion of the winemakers was easy to see. The food on offer consists of tasting plates, samples etc - it's food to share while enjoying the wine, rather than the other way around...and on that note, their wine's are great, with many varieties on offer, some having won awards. This experience should be on everyone's checklist that visits the Mornington Peninsula
